2. BIG DATA & ANALYTICS Conference, Klassikstadt, Frankfurt
Accurate Forecasts for Retail
13th European TDWI Conference with BARC@TDWI Track
Venue: M,O,C, Munich
This marks the 13th conference that TDWI has sponsored in Europe and the 9th conference in Munich. Businesses today are looking beyond the status quo in BI and data warehousing to discover uncommon, real-time/agile insights from their data. Leading organizations want to apply predictive models and business rules so that they can make faster, smarter, and even automated decisions in or near real time. Big data sources include social media networks, online behavior, real-time data/event streams, spatial data, sensors, and more. New technologies are being applied to capitalize on the “velocity” of big data, including predictive analytics, in-database and in-memory analytics, high-performance computing, Hadoop, MapReduce, complex event processing (CEP), and more. This conference will focus on how organizations can derive powerful business advantages from mastering the velocity of big data.
ISC Big Data'13, Marriott Hotel, Heidelberg
Where Enterprise and HPC Meet
On September 25th−26th the first ISC Big Data conference takes place in Heidelberg. Internationally recognized experts coming from both Enterprises and Academia in areas such as Big Data Analytics, High Performance and High Throughput Computing are discussing the potential and opportunities of Big Data. Large scientific organisations, including CERN and many others, have been collecting large amounts of data for decades. What is new, however, is that the focus has now broadened to almost all sectors − be it business analytics in enterprises, financial analyses, Internet Service Providers, oil and gas, medicine, automotive, and a long list of others. All want to extract knowledge from vast amounts of data and nobody wants to miss out on this vital, new trend. Professor Michael Feindt, Founder & Chief Scientific Advisor, Blue Yonder, will speak about his experience with analyzing vast amounts of data in the petabyte range, every second, in the world’s largest particle accelerators at CERN – based on the NeuroBayes Algorithm.
